My story

As a resident of the Great Pacific Northwest it's not hard to find inspiration or an outlet for all of one's creativity and imagination. I pour this creative energy into unique, one of a kind works of art!

I have been a brick and stone mason for 40 years. I have always considered it to be an art. In high school I took art class, and then bumped it up a notch when I went to Olympic College. Just one of the classes I took there was in jewelry design. In 1997, I started working with glass at a glass blowing studio just outside my home town, where I quickly learned the trade. A part of my job there was to weld the metal brackets that held our sculptures.

My Art

Now, I'm combining metal, glass, stone, and concrete. My favorite metals to use are Bronze, Copper, and Stainless steel. Sometimes I will use fused glass mounted in a metal sculpture, Some glass I layer then fuse together with metal inside.

I also enjoy creating beautiful & functional outdoor fire pits and fireplace hearth designs as well as concrete salmon and halibut stepping stones. This started years back when I was still doing masonry work. When the end of the day rolled around I still had some mortar left, so I would carve it with a trowel on the back of my truck. Now I've taken it to another level.
